MANCHESTER CANAL CRUISE WITH LUNCH ONBOARD
Today we are repeating what is one of the favourite trips for early Spring, and at this time of the year the day involves very little walking as we are sailing again! We will go by coach to join the centrally heated boat which departs from Castlefield, Manchester to Salford Quays. On this voyage you get the experience of being both lowered and raised in Pomona Lock and have some of the best water views of Manchester, Trafford, Salford Quays and Media City UK.
Whilst cruising you will be served with a starter and a main course lunch during which there is a very interesting commentary by the captain bringing the area to life. After 1hr 30 minutes you leave the boat at Salford Quays for an hour and a half. Here there is time to explore the Lowry Centre, the Lowry Outlet Mall, the Imperial War Museum North or just sit in a restaurant and drink anything you fancy! Entry is free for the Lowry Museum, and the Imperial War Museum too. We rejoin the boat around 3pm to travel back to Castlefield when your home-made dessert with tea or coffee will be served. Wine can be purchased on board. We arrive at Castlefield about 4pm to return to our coach for the journey home. A relaxing enjoyable day with as little or as much walking as you wish. Do book early, as places on the boat are limited.
The coach will leave Albrighton at 8.15am and Codsall Methodist church car park, Histons Hill, at 8.30am, and we will be back in Codsall/Albrighton for 6.00pm ish. The cost for coach, driver tip, cruise and 3 course Lunch with tea/coffee is £58.
