Today we make just a short drive to discover what it was really like to spend time on both sides of the bars in this police, small and interesting museum, which is the actual former lock up cells located in the heart of Birmingham. You wil be able to explore the Victorian jail that was built in 1891 and remained a working police cell block until 2016 as well as find out about some of Birmingham’s most notorious criminals who were held at the Lock-up, including the real Peaky Blinders. There is much to discover at the museum, including a real police box, police motorcycles, a life size police horse, pictures and memorabilia. Thee will be refreshments on arrival included in todays cost.
We are not far from central Birmingham with its shops, cafes bars and museums. A short stroll away is Brindley place which is a vibrant eating and drinking area situated on the canal from where you can have a trip on a canal boat.
We will leave Albrighton High Street at 9.00am and Trinity Methodist Church, Histons Hill, Codsall at 9.15am, returning by about 4.30 in the evening.
