Tatton Park & Knutsford
We will be travelling north today to visit the National Trust property Tatton Park with a stop en route for a leg stretch and some refreshments at the historic town of Knutsford. As well as refreshments there are many individual shops to browse.
Then on to Tatton Park to enjoy some summer air. The early 19th-century Mansion sits in 1000 acres of deer park and in addition 50 acres of landscaped gardens. For nearly 400 years the estate was the property of the Egerton family until it was bequeathed to the National Trust in 1958. The house is opulently decorated, providing a fine setting for the Egerton family's extensive collections including, for this summer only, some rare Canaletto paintings, artefacts alongside digital installations. The theme of Victorian grandeur extends into the garden with its glasshouses, formal gardens, Italian and Japanese gardens.
The price of this trip £30 for National Trust Members and £48 for non members.
The Coach will leave Albrighton High Street, Crown bus shelter at 9.15am, Histons Hill Methodist Church car park at 9.30am and we should be back in Albrighton/Codsall between 6.00-6.30pm.
